Imagine North Port – A Citizen Master Plan, is a collaborative community project sponsored by Vision North Port - a 501(c) (3) corporation.

This project  resulted  in a citizen based long range vision for the city of North Port and engaged the citizenry in defining the future needs of North Port. The plan was concluded in November of 2009, and was presented tot the city and citizens on January 27, 2010. The plan included extensive public involvement through public community design charette’s and stakeholder outreach. It was built upon previous research and studies, and prepared a vision plan that identifies future community needs.

Major project funding for the Imagine North Port – A Citizen Master Plan has been provided by a grant from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice.

The data collection, analysis and input provided was documented and serves as a basis for the published Citizen Master Plan. The outcomes of the public outreach and major community consensus inputs will help shape the community vision.
