Inaugural World Wellness EcoFest at Warm Mineral Springs an overwhelming success!

Natural Awakenings Magazine, Vision North Port, and Warm Mineral Springs teamed up to bring one of the biggest events ever to the City of North Port with an estimated 11,000 attendees over the course of two days!  The event featured an extensive variety of exhibitors, healthy food vendors, and two full days of entertainment, demonstrations and presentations - all themed around "Healthy Living on a Healthy Planet".  The event was free to the public with all admission fees waived for access to Warm Mineral Springs and the 'Fountain of Youth'.  Attendees were encouraged to carpool as a show of support for a "greener" planet. There was a $5 per vehicle parking fee and a portion of those proceeds was contributed to two local nonprofit organizations. All area businesses were encouraged to showcase their products and services that support the wellness themes, including "green" industries, health care and fitness organizations, dance and exercise, recreation and all other related activities.

Planning is underway for next year's event which promises to be even bigger and better!
